Halloway is a digital well-being app designed for teens aged 13–18. It offers tools like journaling, breathing, and AI-guided emotional support. It is not a medical or therapeutic service and doesn’t replace professional mental health care.👤 2. Who Can Use Halloway
You can use Halloway if:
You are at least 13 years old
You have a parent’s permission if you’re under 18 (in some regions, this may be required)
You agree to follow these Terms and our Privacy Policy🛠️ 3. What You Can (and Can’t) Do
You can:
Use Halloway to reflect, calm down, or explore your emotions
Share feedback to help improve the app
Save or export your own journal entries if the feature is available
You can’t:
Use Halloway to bully, threaten, or harm others
Try to hack, damage, or reverse-engineer the app
Upload harmful or illegal content🧠 4. AI Support Guidelines
Our AI is here to support — not replace a human.
It doesn’t provide medical advice or crisis counseling
Can suggest tools and prompts based on how you’re feeling
Will guide you to a crisis line if you say something that sounds serious or unsafe
You are responsible for your own use of the tools — and encouraged to seek help from trusted adults or professionals if you’re in distress.🔐 5. Privacy and Safety
Your use of the app is covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is protected. We do not share or sell your data.

Halloway is not monitored 24/7. We do not actively review or respond to journal entries, conversations, or emotional check-ins in real time.
If you are under 18, you agree that you have received permission from a parent or guardian to use this app (if required in your country).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halloway and its creators are not liable for any loss, damage, or emotional harm that may result from the use of the app. The app is provided “as is” and used at your own risk.

All personal and emotional data entered into Halloway — including journal entries, mood check-ins, and account details — is securely stored on servers located in Australia. We use trusted providers with data centres based in Australia (such as AWS Sydney or Google Cloud Australia) that comply with Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988.Your data is:
Encrypted at rest and in transit (so it can’t be intercepted or read by others)
Access-controlled (only authorised systems can access it)
Never shared with third-party advertisers, marketers, or unrelated services
We do not transfer your personal data outside of Australia unless absolutely required — and if we ever do, we will ensure it’s protected by equivalent privacy standards under an approved data handling agreement.
You can request to access, update, or permanently delete your data at any time by contacting us at:
